Mallige College of Pharmacy [MCP], Bangalore was established in the year 2006 as a Private Educational Institution. MCP Bangalore is approved by AICTE, and is affiliated with RGUHS, Bangalore. Mallige College of Pharmacy offers admission in the field of Pharmacy at UG/ PG/ Diploma/ Doctorate level with scholarship benefits to deserving students. Dr. Shivakumar Swamy is the Principal.
Mallige Education Foundation established Mallige College of Pharmacy- MCP Bangalore in 2006. This college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. It has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
Vision: The whole and sole vision of this college is to make students knowledgeable, and enhance their professional skills so that they become highly skilled pharmacists.
Mission: To promote education related to pharmacy with a quality and research oriented approach so that it can become a centre of expertise in pharmacy and medicine.
Students can directly apply for admissions into any course provided by Mallige College of Pharmacy. However, it is subject to the condition that each candidate must have to satisfy the eligibility requirement in order to submit an application for admissions. Admission Process:
Candidates will be selected for admissions on the basis of merit in qualifying examination, and as per the decision of the college authorities. Candidates will have to visit the admissions office and submit documents for confirmation of admissions.

Mallige College of Pharmacy allows its students to avail benefit under Scholarships provided by the Government. Numerous scholarships are provided to the students through various government welfare departments. Category wise scholarships are distributed among students who belong from a particular reserved category. Financial assistance is provided to those who are in need of such help so that no interruption can be created in their higher studies.
Scholarships are provided through Tribal Welfare Department, Department of Agriculture, Social Welfare Department, Department of Minority Welfare, and Backward Classes Welfare Department. Scholarships are specially provided to SC/ ST, and other Backward Class Category Candidates.

In order to enhance the professional skills of the students and to help them in finding a suitable job opportunity, Mallige College of Pharmacy has established a Placement Cell. The Training and Placement Cell at the college organises various career development programs for the interested students. On and Off Campus Interviews, Career Awareness Programs, Self Enhancement Programs, Soft Skill Training Programs, Campus Placement Drives, Industrial Visits, etc. are organised by the college placement cell. These activities help students in development of their overall personality and also provide them a practical understanding of the related field.
As per the past records various recruiters participate in the campus placement drives. Some of the renowned recruiters are: Time Pharmaceutical, Aster Pharmacy, Himalaya, Lupin, Micro Labs, Mankind, Sun Pharma, Cipla, Medreich, Alive Pharmaceutical, etc.
Mallige College of Pharmacy has a vast infrastructure and the campus is equipped with all the latest facilities. There are as many as 14 classrooms which are furnished with comfortable seating facilities, are spacious and ventilated. All classrooms are equipped with Digital Smart Boards, projectors, modern Audio- Visual aids and equipment. LAN & Internet Facilities are provided in the classrooms so that modern equipment can be used by the students for academic research.
Apart from these sports facilities for outdoor and indoor sports & games and a transport facility for students are also provided at the college campus.
The Mallige College of Pharmacy (MCP) commenced operations from the year 2006 onwards. The College is based in India’s state of Karnataka at Bangalore. The Institute has affiliation with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. This is in addition to the affiliations of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
The MCP’s managing body is the Mallige Education Foundation that started functioning during the year 2003. The Foundation was set up to impart quality education in the fields of medical and paramedical sciences. The aim is to cater to the healthcare needs of society at large.
The Institute is part of the Mallige Group. Besides, a nursing college and 2 hospitals come under the Group.
At the College, there is focus on training the budding pharmacists in accordance with the current trends of the pharmaceutical sector. The healthcare sector is growing rapidly, thus there are more opportunities for pharmacists to avail. These professionals have an important role to play because they can provide drug information to the doctors for improved health care. In turn, the Institute attempts to broaden the base of pharmacists for catering to the rising demand of these professionals.
Indeed, the College’s mission is to become established as a ‘Center of Excellence’. The endeavor is to offer value-based and research-based Pharmacy education, in addition to constantly developing infrastructure of the Pharmacy profession. Thus, the Institute attempts to meet the needs of the various stakeholders.
Besides, to give the pupils, wider exposure to the working of industries, the College organizes industrial visits. Guest lectures are held on the College campus from renowned personalities of the pharmacy sector as well.
Other than that, for developing the students’ soft skills, the Institute has training classes. Through the training programs, the pupils can hone their communication and other skills. More so, the College conducts personality development classes.
Other facilities that the College offers are 2 multi-specialty hospitals, career counseling, G-PAT training, ragging-free campus, and placement assistance.
Then, there is the Mallige College of Pharmacy library that serves as the primary source of information to the pupils, researchers, and faculty members. Herein, there is a wide collection of books, magazines, newspapers, and journals (both national and international ones) on pharmacy.
Moreover, the digital section contains online journals and an array of textbooks, sourced through the RGUHS’ Heinet subscription. Reprographic facilities can be availed as well. Furthermore, there are e-library facilities – including scanning, internet, and Photostat copying ones.
All the same, the Mallige College of Pharmacy admission procedure is inclusive of both online and offline ones. To apply offline, the applicants are to collect the prospectus and application form from the admin office. And for applying online, the candidates can download the application form from the Institute’s official website.
Also, the Mallige College of Pharmacy attendance for the courses is a minimum of 80% in both theoretical and practical sessions. It is important to note that if the students fail to meet the attendance requirements, then they are not eligible for the internal assessment and annual exams.
