Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar was established in 1967 by a Gujarat State Government Act. It is approved by the University Grant Commission and accredited by NAAC. GAU offers undergraduate courses like B.Pharm and BAMS, post graduate courses like MD / MS in Ayurveda, M.Pharm (Ayurveda), M.Sc in Medicinal Plants, and Ph.D in Ayurveda. Besides these courses, the university also offers certification courses in Yoga and Natural Therapies, Yoga Education, Panchkarma, Ksharsutra, Diploma courses in Naturopathy, PG Diploma in Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Ayurveda and D.Pharm courses.
