The Modern College of Law was set up in 2003 by the Ganesh Shiksha Samiti which is a non-profit body. The college is a private educational institution that offers undergraduate education in law. The college is affiliated to CCU University, Meerut and approved by the Bar Council of India. It is also recognised by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The college has received NAAC accreditation.

Admission process:
At the Modern College of Law, there are policies for scholarships and fee concessions. There are merit scholarships, as well as merit cum means scholarships offered by the college, in compliance with the governing body of the college. Pratibha Protsahan Scheme is a merit scholarship offered by the institution to students who secured 60% and above in higher secondary. They get a 15% scholarship on academic fees in the first year. Students who secure 75% above in second and third year will get 25% scholarship on academic fee. Another scholarship offered by the college is Pratibha Samman for students with family income less than Rs.400000 and marks over 70%. Apart from these there are scholarships like Special Scholarships for Differently Abled Candidates, for Transgender Candidates, Orphans. There are fee concessions for female candidates or those who have graduated from MCPS.
The Modern College of Law has an active placement cell which helps the students find internships to demonstrate their professional skills. The cell also provides career counselling through experts in their respective fields to help students gain a realistic idea about real-world courtroom scenarios. The placement cell further organises various job fairs and placement camps where top recruiters are invited and students are introduced to them. As per requirement, these legal organisations hire the students who fit their roles from the campus.
