The School of Engineering and Technology was the first academic department to become operational following ITM’s establishment. The computer science & information technology branch under the aegis of SET (School of Engineering and Technology) offers the 4-year B. Tech (CSE {specialization in data science and machine learning}) program. This undergraduate program aims to prepare students thoroughly so that they can lay the foundations for a successful career in their chosen area of specialization. Students make the most of laboratory equipment, meticulous theoretical instructions, and hands-on training for completing the program. Data science, AI (artificial intelligence) and machine learning is an emerging specialization of CSE (computer science and engineering) dealing with techniques to make machines or computers intelligent. Making machines smart enables those to acquire skills through experience which in turn lets them gain inherent wisdom to comprehend natural languages for figuring out image content for working collaboratively.
This B.Tech CSE course makes students capable of creating intelligent machines by exploiting data science, AI and machine learning technologies. After completing this program, B. Tech CSE graduates can work as a game developer, automation and optimization engineer, machine learning developer, natural language processing scientist, researcher or data engineer. To qualify for this program, students need to secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in their final Std. XII examination. The compulsory subjects must be Physics and Maths and any one subject out of Biology, Chemistry, and Computer.
Candidates also have to clear the JEE (Mains) for guaranteeing admission.
The B. Tech (petroleum engineering) program is a 4-year fulltime, on-campus course offered by the School of Engineering and Technology. The course curriculum lays emphasis on the techniques for exploration and production of fossil fuels and natural gas. To be specific, this undergraduate B. Tech program in petroleum engineering helps students gain sound knowledge of upstream activities entailing exploration, production, and reservoirs of oil and gas.
Through this course, the students acquire the skills required for the creation and application of cutting-edge technologies in petroleum sector operations like petrochemicals processing, crude oil refinement, production and reservoir engineering, and drilling. Gaining knowledge about hydrocarbon reservoir forms the crux of studies in B. Tech (petroleum engineering). Once students, complete the course, they imbibe the capabilities to extract, purify, and transport liquid and gaseous hydrocarbon products from the earth’s crust by exploiting drilling, production, processing and transportation techniques.
The minimum eligibility criterions include clearing the 10+2 exam with physics, chemistry, and mathematics as compulsory subjects and also passing the JEE (main).
The Bachelor of Architecture program is a fulltime, five-year course that enable to students to build a successful career as an architect. To qualify for this undergraduate course, the student needs to clear the 10+2 exam in pure science, achieving at least 50% marks in aggregate.
The students also have to secure the prescribed cutoff marks in the NATA exam conducted by COA (Council of Architecture).
The M. Tech (structural engineering) course is a 2-year postgraduate program which entails advanced study of structural reliability and optimization, structural mechanics and dynamics, and finite element analysis etc.
All B. Tech or B. E graduates, preferably those who have specialized in civil engineering with at least 55% aggregate score, can apply.
