University of Mysore (also known as Mysore University) [UoM], Mysore established in 1916 is a State University, currently having 86th position in NIRF Ranking 2024 and 451-500 score out of 760 in QS Asia 2023. UoM Mysore is approved by UGC and AIU, and is accredited by NAAC-A. Admission in University of Mysore is offered in Engineering, Management and Humanities at UG/ PG/ Diploma/ Doctorate/ Certificate level with scholarship benefits to deserving students.
The foundation stone of University of Mysore was laid down in the year 1916. It got its approval from the UGC to work as a State University. It is accredited by NAAC.
Its vision is to provide various learning opportunities to students so that they can become competent and skilled individuals. Its mission is to create an environment where its faculties having different capabilities and knowledge to impart quality education and provide right direction to students.

Candidates seeking admission in Postgraduate Degree programs offered by University of Mysore have to qualify their Graduation with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC / ST). It is mandatory for all the candidates to appear for Entrance Examination to get admission in PG programs. The university conducts’ a single Common Entrance Examination for multiple groups of different courses. Candidates seeking admission in MBA, M.Tech (CCT), M.Tech (CST), and MCA programs must contact Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). The University’s Career Hub assists students in enhancing their employability skills by providing them adequate support. It focuses on various concepts of career building and assists students to make right decisions. The Skill Development Centre of University of Mysore provides various personal and online facilities for students so that they can become professionals and understand current industry trends. The Design Hub provides students a platform where students can work on innovative business ideas, creations, and develop prototypes. Here mentors from multiple sectors provide guidance, real life experiences, and support to students so that they can execute their ideas into reality. The Incubation Centre provides structured mentoring and support to selected business ideas of a few students.
The Administrative Offices of University of Mysore comprises of Crawford Hall and an Imposing building. This place also has offices of Registrar, Finance Officer, Vice-Chancellor, and Public Grievance Cell. The University’s campus has been declared as Green Campus as solar panels have been installed within the premises. E-Cart services are also being introduced by the university to minimise pollution.
