Veterinary College, Bangalore was established in the year 1958 as a Public Educational Institution. Veterinary College Bangalore is approved by ICAR, and is affiliated with Karnataka Veterinary Animal and Fisheries Sciences University, Bidar. The Veterinary College was established in 1958 by then Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri B.D. Jatti. The present college was established in the year 1962 and was inaugurated by Maharaja Shri Jaya Chamarajendra Wodeyar. The college is affiliated to KVAFSU and is approved by ICAR. The college has 19 departments that offer AH & BVSc. programs.
The mission is to provide research, teaching, and education services associated with animal sciences and veterinary, fisheries, dairy sciences, and allied sciences.
The application must be submitted with the registrar for admission in the format according to the notification issued by the university. The eligible candidates are invited for the written exam and counseling sessions. A few seats are reserved for international students and the details are provided from the office of the registrar.
