Katihar Medical College hostel provides pleasant accommodation facilities for inmates. Hostel facilities are available separately for boys and girls within the campus and a different hostel is also located on Campus 2 (outside of Campus 1). A comfortable environment is tried to be created by the authority that fulfills all the basic needs of the hostellers.

For MBBS students:

• Boys Hostel has 179 rooms accommodating 268 scholars
• Girls Hostel has 144 rooms accommodating 288 scholars
• Interns Boys Hostel has a capacity of 60 scholars
• Interns Girls Hostel has a capacity of 70 scholars

For PG students/Residents:

• Male: 95 single-bedroom flats
• Female: 51 single-bedroom flats

Other residential facilities available at the campus are:

• Residential quarters: 3 Bedroom – 20 Flats; 2 Bedroom – 50 Flats; 1 Bedroom – 57 Flats
• Nurses Hostel has 65 rooms accommodating 130
• Para Medical/Non-Teaching Staff Quarters accommodate 100
• Principal Residence has 5 flats
• Management Quarter has 12 Flats
• AC fully-furnished guest house has 12 rooms
• Annexe has 10 rooms

Katihar Medical College facilities include banking from the State Bank of India at the KMC branch present on the campus.

Katihar Medical College Hostel rules provide good security services to the inmates. Security personnel with walkie-talkies walk around the campus for the safety of inmates. Wardens are also easily approachable to parents if they want to know about their wards.
