BAMS
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is a five year and six months course, which is divided into two portions, i.e., the four years and six months and internship of one year. Ayurveda education aims to create graduates with deep knowledge of Ayurveda along with scientific knowledge with fundamental skills. After the completion of this program, students become research fellows, academicians, physicians, research fellows, and surgeons to serve in health services.
The program is offered with various specializations namely Sanskrit Samhita and Siddhanth, Shareera Rachana, Shareera Kriya, Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, Dravyaguna, Roga Nidana, Svasta Vritha, Agada Tantra, Kaya Chikitsa, Panchkarma, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra, Prasooti and Stree Roga and Kaumarabhartiya.
Candidates willing to take admission must have completed PUC /10+2 exam of Karnataka with English and Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects not less than 50% aggregate marks in the second year PUC/10+2 exam.
OR
Candidates with B.Sc Part-I from any University with Science subjects Biology, Chemistry, and Physics with not less than 50% marks.
OR Candidates who have completed a B.Sc degree from recognized University or equivalent exam with Science subjects and no less than 50% marks are eligible provided that candidates must have passed Physics, Biology (Zoology/Botany), Chemistry and English as a subject at 10+2/PUC or B.Sc part-I.
OR
Candidates must be of a minimum of 17 years of age to apply for this course.
