New Theological College

The New Theological College was established in 1987 as a private educational institution. It is affiliated to Serampore University and accredited by Asia Theological. The college is also known as Luther W. New Jr. Theological College and offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses for various humanities and science subjects.

The NTC Dehradun has several undergraduate and postgraduate courses and diploma courses. The following table provides the eligibility requirement for the different courses offered by the college:

Certificate and diploma courses are also offered by the college. There is a certificate course in Theology, and a Diploma course in Biblical Translation. Students should be recommended by the local pastor for the certificate course in theology. The certificate course in Theology is designed for those at a grass root level and the medium of instruction is hindi. For the diploma course in biblical translation, the student must qualify undergraduate courses in any discipline and must have working knowledge in English.

Admission process:

• The admission process is conducted strictly as per the merit of the student.
• The student must fill up the form diligently and submit the form.
• Application status will be intimated through email.
• The students must qualify for the entrance exam and the interview in order to secure their admission to the selected course.

The New Theological College helps raise and offer scholarships to the deserving students. The scholarship funds are distributed at the beginning of the year and given for one academic year. In the following years of the course, the student must apply for the scholarship every year. To keep receiving the scholarship, the student must maintain a minimum B- grade. Students who receive full scholarships or financial aid must minister for two years in a place that the NTC Dehradun recommends after graduation.

The following are some of the rules related to scholarship programs at the NTC Dehradun college:

• Any student who is not paying the full fees will be considered under the scholarship work scheme.
• The scholarship work scheme is designed as per the amount of fees paid by the student.
• As per the scholarship work scheme, the student will have to work 4pm-5pm on weekdays and on Saturdays. The students who cannot complete the work hours will have to pay the full fees.
