Dr DY Patil College of Architecture Navi Mumbai Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

We had a modernised college infrastructure that suits well for an architecture college. Though there’s less space in the campus, we always had the neighboring ground and stadium of the engineering college of D.Y.Patil. I’ve witnessed a few IPL matches in the DY Patil stadium for free. We also had a good canteen facility. But we preferred going out at times for munching. I also liked spending time in our big library browsing through the hundreds of research books there.

As architecture is a very hectic stream, I’ve spent most of time in the college making drawings or preparing for the jury. We are seen as studious students as we are always found doing something or the other. The college campus was almost my second home. I was really impressed by the infrastructure of college which suited the architecture field. We had a standalone building with very little space around it. DY Patil groups had a massive campus and we used their playgrounds during sports tournaments. We had a beautiful auditorium where we attended the various seminars based on the future of architecture.

Architecture, as a field is really hectic. I remember staying up till 4 or even 5 in the morning for completing the sketches. Thus, fests and celebrations were often sidelined. But I did enjoy the campus life as DY Patil had a green campus. My friends and I sat on the green grass discussing our jury and internship plans.Read Full Review

Unfortunately, my college did not have a canteen of its own. We went to the neighboring college’s canteen - i.e. of SIES college. These two colleges shared the same common wall. The college building also was a standalone one with not much space around it. We often went to RAIT College, another neighboring college and a part of the DY Patil group to experience the campus life. We did have medical and emergency support because the DY Patil hospital was just behind our college building.

I did not have a very happening campus life. But we enjoyed ourselves in KFC, Pizza Hut and our special hawkers on the footpath which were just outside our college. The fests of architecture college were not so happening either. We went to the neighboring colleges fests to experience the vibe - advantage of being surrounded by two big colleges.
