Shri Aurobindo College (Evening) was established in 1984 and is a constituent College of University of Delhi. The college is NAAC accredited with “B+” grade College. The College began by providing courses in B.A. (Pass) and B.Com. (Pass). Over the years, courses in B.Com. (Hons.), B.A. (Hons), Hindi and B.A. (Hons.) were introduced. Applied Psychology, B.A. (Hons) English and B.A (Hons) Economics were introduced in the academic year 2017-18.

For admissions to Undergraduate (UG) programs, students must register themselves for Common University Entrance Test (CUET) through the University of Delhi website. The students should have passed in the class 12th examination of any board/ university examination in India or any foreign country recognised as equal to the 10+2 system. Students applying for admission under foreign student’s category are required to apply separately via Foreign Students Registry. Shri Aurobindo College (Evening) has a central location in Block B, Shivalik Colony, Malviya Nagar which is properly connected by Delhi’s public bus transport system and is less than 15 minute walk from the Malviya Nagar metro station. College has given students 40+ Lecture Rooms and more than 3 Smart Classrooms for better understanding of the topics. Strictness is maintained for cleaning corridors, laboratories, pathways, etc with CCTV cameras & Water Purifiers installed in the premises. The college premises have a cafeteria which gives healthy and hygienic food to the students. Wi-Fi facility is present in all the classrooms with LCD projectors that are used to aid and augment the teaching learning process. The college has also provided the students with different help clubs & cells like Women’s Development Cell, Counseling Cell, Equal Opportunity Cell, Grievance Redressal Office, etc. Medical facilities are maintained to keep the students fit and healthy.
