    DTU Delhi: Academics, Placements, and Campus Life
    I chose Civil Engineering because of my interest in the same and the quality of academics in DTU, you have to give JEE Main to be eligible, and then you have to apply for the counseling. After the rounds of counseling, you will be allotted the university if your rank will match accordingly. Each year, there are four exams that prepare you well for the real life challenges as for now.
    The fee for my chosen course is 10 Lakh (4 years), including tuition, admission, and registration fees, but excluding the hostel and mess fees. For SC/ST students, there are compensations in fee and scholarships for students with less family income but you have to apply and go for the interviews for these financial aids by the university. The hostel fee for the whole four-year course is total of around 4 Lakh.Read Full Review

    As mentioned earlier, the university is old, which influences the curriculum. In other words, it needs to be updated as per the current standards and policies. Students need to put extra effort and engage themselves in self-studies. There are basically two exams that are mid sem and end-sem followed by CWS and viva. Mid-sem is of around 20 to 25 marks and end sem is 40 to 50 marks depending upon the course you have. There is relative grading but from next year the relative grading will be hard and passing marks becomes 35 overall. But it also depends upon the professor. Talking about exam timing, during mid sem exams, there will be two exams in a day. One in the evening shift and other in the morning. As far as the timings are concerned, the university gives a lot to give as in two hours, you to need to do only 5 questions, which is very good. The difficulty of the exam is moderate.
    I have paid a full year fee i.e. Rs. 2,36,700 for academic year 2024-25 (nearly Rs. 20,000 per month) in which Rs. 1,50,000 is a fix tuition fee that will not change in the upcoming years. In my final year, I need to pay Rs. 2, 86,700 and that is too much I think. Good part is that there are many scholarships available for economically weaker section of the society. SC and ST may also be getting government-based discount that is full tuition fee reimbursement. However, for general category income, based scholarship is there, where students with annual income of less than 4.5 LPA have 50% discount on university tuition fee and students with annual income of less than 2.5 LPA have to pay remaining fee other than tuition fee. There are other merit-based scholarships as well like for toppers of every department, there is a cash prize of Rs. 5,000 to 20,000 depending upon the SGPA.Read Full Review

    DTU B.Tech Fees and Financial Aid
    I am currently pursuing Chemical Engineering, But That's my choice as I love chemistry. To enroll you need minimum Rank of 90,000 in JEE MAIN for general category (in chemical engineering). The admission Process is managed by JAC counseling and is very confusing and requires a lot of documents. The exams are taken Twice, Once Mid-term and then end-semester. Many assignments are submitted throughout the year. Along with teaching they also motivate us to do better.
    The total fee of B.Tech here is for 4 years is around 11 lakh. That’s only the academic fees and it doesn't include the various fees over the years. There is no admission fee or other fee added. The first year fee is approximately Rs. 2.46 lakh and it is raised by 20k every year. Rs. 2.66 lakh for second, Rs. 2.76 lakh for third and Rs. 2.96 lakh for the fourth year. There are scholarships but not so much as for all students.Read Full Review
