Indraprastha College for Women New Delhi Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The infrastructure of the college has been designed out since the times of British Raj as it was established in 1924 as first women's college. The infrastructure is gladly maintained and precisely divided into classrooms and blocks and divisions. Our college is mainly 5 buildings where the main building has 1 to 30 numbers of classrooms and administrative office, staff room and principal's office. There are two other buildings with room number 31 to 45 and 46 to 50, respectively. They are named as New Academic Block and New Extension building with more lecture halls. One whole building is constituted as a library with vivid and vast availability of books. There is also a canteen with great food and Nestle point with more options. There are two front lawns, 2 to 3 random lawns, 1 park at the entrance and a huge sports field adds on to the infrastructure of the college.

The campus life is quite exciting and joyful. The crowd of the campus is overall approachable, welcoming and warm hearted to everyone. There are various clubs and societies in the college to get students engaged into various holistic development aimed programs. Other engagement activities include different seminars and activities each and every week in different domains by societies. Again I'm telling you, IP college for women is the most beautiful college of the entire Delhi University. You will find a similar vibe as that of white walls of Connaught Place. The college is 100 years old but trust me it is so beautiful. There is so much greenery, flora and fauna which you will find so beautiful. Our college has almost all the facilities like canteen, gym, Sports, societies, library, auditorium, conference hall, etc.

Campus life is good at this college. It depends whether you have a group of friends or not. If you have a group of friends, you'll find your campus life to be the best from the very first day. But if you don't have many friends, you might find it difficult in the beginning. Things will definitely get better as you spend time. The college is in north campus but it is a bit away from the actual north campus. All the colleges are in Vishwavidyalaya while the college lies in civil lines which are 15 minutes away. Infrastructure of my college is the most beautiful factor to adore. It is located in the most posh area of Delhi- Civil lines. It has been built during the British rule, a very old and Heritage structure. However there are few recent addition as well, like academic block, extension block etc. It has a huge auditorium as well. Classroom are of varied sizes depending upon the nature of class. Canteen along with a Nescafe and Amul is also there inside the College.

Overall, to sum up my college life in few words- It is beautiful in its own way. The college, my friends circle, my classmates, the faculty members, the opportunities, all makes it wholesome. College crowd is quite peaceful all engaged and focused in their own work. Clubs are active and very disciplined. I am currently a part of quiz society- Erudite.
