Government City College [GCC], Hyderabad was established in the year 1921 as a Public (Autonomous) Educational Institution. GCC Hyderabad is accredited by NAAC-B++, and is affiliated with OU, Hyderabad. Government City College offers admission in the field of Management, Humanities and Science at UG level with scholarship benefits to deserving students. Dr. P. Bala Bhaskar is the Principal.
Government City College - GCC Hyderabad is an Autonomous Institute started in the year 1921. The College offers multidisciplinary courses and follows the CBCS system at UG and PG level. It is working under the jurisdiction of Osmania University, Hyderabad and has been accredited by NAAC.

The College has an online admission process and follows the guidelines and norms of the Osmania University to admit students in the college. Students must verify the eligibility criteria set by Osmania University before applying for the course of their choice. For admissions to PG courses in the college a student has to qualify in the Telangana State Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests (TS CPGET) which is a computer based test and consists of 100 multiple choice questions. On clearing the written test a student has to undergo web based counseling process. However a student must verify the eligibility criteria which are essential to be cleared for PG course before appearing in TS CPGET. The same are tabulated below:

The College has Training and Placement Centre called Telangana Skills & Knowledge Centre (TSKC). The Centre provides skill training in different areas to students improving their capabilities so that they can try to get their desired jobs. Students are offered more than 50 skill enhancement certificate courses from the department. In addition to the centre, there is a Career Guidance and Placement committee which reviews the students’ progression for higher studies and placement.
The College has been in existence for over 100 years. The total campus area of the college spans over 6 acres. The main building of the college has a heritage structure and the management ensures that appropriate physical infrastructure facilities are provided to students for their learning activities.
