Goa College of Engineering

I studied at GCE for four years, and if it weren't for selection in IIT, I would have studied for all six years. My perspective is a little different from others as I have seen both the pros and cons of this college and will share them both. There are seven branches at GCE. Some were good, while some were terrible. Thankfully for me, that IT branch was the best of them all and had a nice ratio of girls. Otherwise, though there aren't many female students at GCE. The college is supremely funded, and that can be seen with the new equipment and development being made consistently. GCE has an MOU signed with none other than colleges like IIT Bombay and NIT Surathkal. We were sent there for workshops, and the faculty of those colleges would come and take important sessions and lectures at GCE. The fees of engineering colleges today are so high that it has made engineering almost inaccessible to an average household in India. GCE fees are quite low, and also many scholarships and subsidies are provided to socially and economically challenged people in India.Read Full Review
