Gangadhar Meher University was earlier known as Gangadhar Meher College which was established in 1944. In the year 2015, it was converted to Gangadhar Meher University. It was established as a unitary institute which caters to the educational needs of the society. GMU is a State University approved by UGC.
Vision: It aims to promote professional programs, self assessment, and self learning, impart high quality and accessible education, nurture and develop the individuals into strong and confident personality, and expand the domains of higher education.
Mission: The University is committed to promote student centric learning, evolve mechanisms to explore the talents of the students, ensure flexibility, and impart quality education which enables the students to solve local and global issues.
GMU provides different Graduation and Post Graduation programs to the students through its faculties which are as follows:
GMU provides Under Graduation programs in BBA, B.Sc, BA, B.Com, B.A B.Ed, and B.Sc.B.Ed, and Post Graduation programs in MA, MBA, MCA, M.Sc, and M.Com.
