Ramaiah Medical College began offering medical programs and courses from the year 1979 from its campus in Bangalore. This medical college is one of the 21 institutions owned and operated by ‘The Ramaiah Group’. Sri M. S. Ramaiah is the late founder chairman of The Ramaiah Group of Institutions.
All healthcare and education institutes of this group are situated inside the sprawling and verdant 70-acre campus in Bangalore. The Ramaiah Group also established a hospital (Ramaiah Medical College Hospital) in the year 1984 for training the internees of RMC.
