Originally called, ‘Ansal Institute of Technology’, Ansal University was incorporated in the year 2012 as per the structures mentioned in the Haryana Private Universities Act 2006. AIT (Ansal Institute of Technology) was founded in August 2000 as a private institution under the aegis of Chiranjiv Charitable Trust and was affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Ansal University is now a full-fledged private university with a rambling campus spread over a 15-acre area in the base of the Aravalli Mountain Range flanking Gurgaon.
Based in the hub of Gurgaon where the world’s topmost Fortune 500 companies and India’s premier conglomerates are located, the academia programs and courses under 7 distinct schools. These schools offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in health sciences, engineering, hospitality, management, law, design, and architecture. Ansal University is recognized and accredited by UGC (University Grants Commission). Additionally, the individual courses are approved by AICTE, COA (Council of Architecture), and other relevant statutory bodies.
Majority of the students who have successfully completed a program of the academy have been placed in leading and celebrated multinational corporations.
The university was constituted in 2012 under the ‘Haryana Private Universities Act 2006’. The academy was instituted with the vision of promoting and sustaining higher education via consistent research, internationalization, collaborative governance, and cutting-edge innovation. Chiranjiv Charitable Trust which owns the university and manages its day-to-day activities has been supporting the cause of higher education since 1989 when it established ‘Sushant School of Art and Architecture’.
11 years down the line, CCT went on to set up the Ansal Institute of Technology which garnered global acknowledgment and appreciation in the areas of international collaboration, extension, and research. About 10 years later, the foundation for ‘Sushant Group of Design’ was laid, and two years later, Ansal University was founded by a legislative act. The university became the flagship institution of the Chiranjiv Charitable Trust under which the ‘Sushant Group of Institutions’ was listed.
