Poddar Group of Institutions: Admission 2025, Fees, Rankings, Scholarship, Jaipur

The Poddar Group of Institutions was established in the year 1998 by Dr. Anand Poddar. It is affiliated with the Rajasthan University, RTU, RiSU, and RUHS. It is also accredited by NAAC and approved by AICTE, MHRD, NCTE, UGC, and PCI. The college runs with the motto of providing education with the purpose to shape a better future for the students. The vision and mission of the college are to give students quality learning for expanding their growth.

There are 5 colleges under the aegis of PGI namely:

• Poddar International College
• Poddar Management & Technical Campus
• Poddar International College of Pharmacy
• Poddar Management Training Institute
• Poddar Business School

The institute offers programs for UG/ PG/ Diploma/ Certification in varied departments like Computer Applications, Arts, Pharmacy, Management Studies, Commerce, Science, Education, Paramedical Science, and Design.

To seek admission to PGI, a candidate has to clear the Eligibility Criteria set by the Institute, after which they may apply for admission. There are various criteria on which the eligibility is divided, such as:

• For UG Courses:

For admissions in BA, B. Com. (Pass Course), and B.Sc. (Pass Course), the candidate must have passed class 12^th examinations.

The students seeking admission in B. Des. (Fashion/ Interior Design), BBA, and BCA are only eligible for admission if they have passed their 10+2 with at least 48% marks (for Rajasthan domicile students) and 60% marks (outside Rajasthan domicile).

• For Diploma Courses

For Diploma in Fashion & Interior Design, the candidate must clear 10+2 from any recognised board.

For admission in DMLT, Diploma in Radiography, and Diploma in Ayurvedic Therapy, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with science from any recognised board.

Admission Procedure

For UG, PG, and Design Courses:

• Online as well as Offline registration can be done by the applicants either through the official website of the college or by visiting the campus respectively. The applicants will have to pay a nominal fee to get the application form, after which they may fill up and submit the form.
• For the candidates who are registering offline, the college offers an open counseling session. The candidates may take up the counseling before/after the registration, according to their comfort.
• For the candidates seeking admission in BBA or BCA, 10+2 scores and interpersonal skills will be considered for admission if the number of applications is more than the seat availability. 
• For the designing courses, the candidates have to clear the Portfolio Round where they have to present their portfolios and also qualify the Final Interview.

*Note: The students seeking admission to the designing courses and have appeared for NID/ NIFT entrance examinations, may apply for direct admission through the scores in the respective entrance exams rather than clearing the portfolio and final interview round.

For MBA and MCA

• The Rajasthan Management Admission Process (RMAP) and Rajasthan Master of Computer Applications Admission Process (RMCAAP) are considered the basis of admission in MBA and MCA Programs respectively.
• The students that apply through the Management Quota are allotted seats directly.
• The applicants who are currently in the final year of their graduation or have already cleared their graduation can also apply for admission to PGI.
• Candidates may gain the application form from the online as well as the offline mode by visiting the official website of the college or visiting the college campus. After paying a nominal fee, the candidate must get the application from, which they have to fill up and submit.
• Once the admission is done, the selected candidates have to submit the tuition fee by the period stated by the college.

Documents Required

At the time of admission, the students are expected to submit some documents along with the submission of their registration forms, such as:

• Original Transfer and Migration Certificate from the last attended institution
• Character Certificate (if any) from the last attended institution
• Passport Size Photographs
• A copy of the Aadhar card
• Caste Certificate (in case the candidate belongs to any reserved category)
• 12^th and graduation marks sheet in case of Undergraduate and Post-graduate courses respectively.
• An affidavit is required from the students who have taken a gap year.

PGI offers various scholarships on distinct criteria such as:

• For UG Courses: The scholarship is awarded based on the percentage scored in 10+2, like

*Note: For 2^nd year UG students the scholarship is awarded based on marks scored in the 1^st year, and in the 3^rd year the scholarship is awarded based on marks scored in the 2^nd year.

• Sports Scholarships of 5% and 10% are provided to the State level and National level players respectively.
• A 10% scholarship is awarded to the Siblings of alumni or existing students at PGI.
• For all the 3 years of the undergraduate program, the BPL Card Holders are given a 10% scholarship.
• The Alumni of PGI seeking admissions in courses like MCA, M. Com., and MA, will be awarded a 20% scholarship, and the alumni seeking admissions in MBA and M.Sc. will be receiving a 10% scholarship.

• Government Scholarships: The students can avail of the benefits of certain Government Scholarships if they belong to any of the categories - Merit Holders, BPL Card Holders, or the students belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ SBS/ Minority Category.

*Note: From all the above-mentioned scholarships, students may only avail of one scholarship at any given time.
