Formerly the institute was known as the International Institute of Management Sciences. Academia follows a selection procedure for admitting students in the courses offered. Weightage of marks for selection includes 40% of score obtained in any of the Entrance Test such as (MAT/CAT/GMAT/CMAT/XAT/CET/ATMA), 35% score of GD/PI, 10th, 12th and Graduation score-15% and Cultural/Sports/NSS/NCC Merit-10%. Institute has strict rules for attendance, and a minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory every semester to appear in the examination.
