IIS University is situated in the capital city of Rajasthan that is Jaipur, and was established back in the year 1995. ICG (International College for Girls) has become IIS (Deemed to be University) now. IIS University is only accessible to women that has been accredited by NAAC with a grade of "A+" and is recognized by the UGC. The government of Rajasthan has recognized IISU as the Model College.
There are a total of 14 departments at the IISU that offer various UG, PG, as well as Doctoral courses to the students. They are namely the department of Environmental & Life Sciences, Home Science, Chemical Science, Physical & Computing Science, CS & IT, and Behavioral & Health Sciences. Other departments are Social Sciences, Fashion & Textiles, Language & Mass Communication, Commerce, Fine Arts, Education, Management, and Library & Information Science.

IIS University accepts both offline as well as online admission forms from the applicants. Entrance Test
IIS University conducts an entrance test for Ph.D. admissions at the University named as Research Entrance Test (RET). But performance in the entrance exam itself is not the only thing that confirms the admission of the candidate to the Ph.D. program. The candidates have to clear their interview as well.
IIS University offers various scholarships as well as fellowships for all the students studying at the University. They have a variety of scholarships that can be claimed by all the UG and PG students studying at the University. IISU Merit Scholarship: The scholarship is awarded to the students to appreciate and recognize their excellence in academic studies. Academically brilliant students are awarded with a trophy and merit certificate in each semester at the University. Along with this, they are also awarded with a cash prize of ₹2,100 and ₹1,500 for holding first and second positions.
IISU Scholarship Scheme: The University offers scholarships to the students who have achieved certificates in the field of academics, research, extracurricular, as well as sports activities.
Scholarship for Elite Sportsperson: It is a one-time scholarship for the students who are national or international level players. This is offered to the students who are enrolled in courses like UG/ PG/ Ph.D. / M.Phil. at the University.
Scholarship for Excellence in Co-Curricular or Extra-Curricular Activities: It is offered to the students who have achieved excellence in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities at the University or before joining the University.
Scholarship for the single girl child in PG course: It is offered to the students who have scored 80% or above in their UG course. The University provides one-time financial help of ₹5,000 to the single girl child of the family.
PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship: The scholarship was started and is funded by the UGC. The scholarship is offered by the UGC for two years at the University and students can apply for other scholarships as well along with this particular scholarship. It can be grabbed by the single girl child of the family only.
IISU Fellowship Scheme: The fellowship is offered to research scholars of Science, Arts & Social Science, as well as Commerce & Management. The students who are awarded a fellowship under this scheme are offered ₹6,000 per month. The fellowship is granted on a meritas well asneedbasis. Note: The scholars who have been awarded with any other funding from JRF/ SRF or any other fellowship which is directly leading to financial help will not be eligible for the fellowship.
Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship: RGNF is mainly offered to the students from the SC/ ST categories. The students can apply for the fellowship even if they have not cleared any entrance exam out of NET/ JRF but are willing to do a full-time doctoral degree.
Dr. Kothari’s Postdoctoral Fellowship: The students who have either completed their doctoral degree or have submitted the thesis successfully can apply for the scholarship. The students under this fellowship are awarded with stipend money until they are awarded with their Ph.D. degree.

IIS University has a fully functional Training Placement & Counseling Cell that oversees the complete planning and implementation of career guidance, career counseling, and employment opportunities for the University's students. The cell engages in a wide range of activities that include campus interviews, summer internships, workshops, and programs for enhancing employability skills. They also train the students for resume writing, interviews, group discussions, communication skill, and many more. The cell conducts career guidance and counseling sessions on an individual basis. And the cell even develops value-added industrial/ practical training for students at the University. Thus the placement cell functions more as a career services unit at the University.
Students are given pre-placement training that helps them navigate the recruitment and interview processes and succeed. The organization of seminars and workshops aims to offer pertinent technical and behavioral training. Workshops on group discussions and recruitment strategies are held for students by the cell. Additionally, the cell supports students in developing their presenting and communication abilities. Distinguished individuals from many businesses are invited to the campus for these sessions.
Internships: Internships provide with training for the students beforehand and can prove to bring in better opportunities for them at the time of placement. The cell conducts internships for students in various sectors of the industry. All academic and co-curricular efforts at IIS University have a platform thanks to the University's infrastructure, which adheres to all UGC-mandated criteria and guidelines. It provides not only the necessary and suitable tools and resources for research, teaching, and learning, but it also fosters an environment that invites participation, interaction, and inspiration.
IT Infrastructure: All the PCs and laptops at the University are connected to the server centrally for sharing and keeping the data regarding the student. The details of the student attendance, enrolment,feedback analysis,etc. are stored on the systems. The campus is Wi-Fi and LAN enabled and has NKN lease line connectivity.
Classrooms and seminar halls: approximately 100 large, well-ventilated classrooms and more than 10 conference rooms with high-quality audio-visual equipment such as LCD projectors, collar microphones, visualizers, and speaker systems are available.
Library: In addition to the well-stocked departmental libraries, it also has a reference section and a reading room with space for approximately 200 people. It is centrally air-cooled, ICT-enabled, and well-stocked with books, journals, magazines, periodicals, and e-research databases. The e-library at IISU provides withe-journals, e-books, e-databases, and other e-resources to the students.
Sports Facilities: The health club is fully air-conditioned and runs fitness training programs like weight training, yoga, cardio, and many more. They have facilities for indoor games like Chess, TT, and Carom. They have training facilities for outdoor games like basketball, TT, shooting, handball, athletics, volleyball, cricket, badminton, taekwondo, and many more to be mentioned.
Facilities for cultural activities: There is an open-air amphitheater and various auditoriums at different campuses with different seating capacities of 200, 250, and 800 people at a time. The auditoriums at the University are installed with all the audio as well as visual aids for organizing cultural activities without any disturbance.
Hostel facilities: There are a total of three hostels at IIS University's three campuses. Named as "Aanchal", "Vasundhara", and "IIS". And all of these can accommodate collectively more than 300 students.
Medical facilities: In order to give and facilitate medical help to all of the students and employees, the University maintains an infirmary with a competent and trained full-time Nurse on duty throughout the day. The University's infirmary is furnished with the essential first-aid tools, including three beds, an observation table, a stretcher, two wheelchairs, and other necessary medical devices. For emergencies, an ambulance is constantly on hand at the camp. In addition to this, the University has an informal tie-up with two neighboring hospitals for the care of IIS Group students and employees.
Transportation Facility: A fleet of 50 well-maintained buses is available to help students go to and from school from various parts of the city. In addition to Tata Magic, a loading tempo, and a few cars are available to meet the University's additional transportation needs.
Clubs at the University: There are various clubs at the University like the Rotaract club for the overall development of the students. A chemical association is also a different kind of club at the University that is at work to develop research aptitude among the students. other clubs are the Theatrical club and the Debating club.
Cafeteria: There are three cafeterias on the University campus that offer students small meals, nutritious snacks, fresh juices, etc. Every cafeteria has an a la carte menu so that students can choose any food that suits their taste. Chinese, South Indian, and North Indian cuisines are all included on the menu. The University has also established a committee made up of professors and student representatives, and it is their job to regularly visit these cafeterias to inspect the cleanliness, waste-disposal procedures, and food quality. This committee also monitors the cost, serving size, and the manner in which meals and beverages are provided to faculty members and students.

Varsity treasures a well-equipped library that practices procedures and policies, services, and systems as well as an adequate environment for the creation of knowledge. The library is important for knowledge acquisition, organization, and knowledge dissemination. The Central library has an excellent book collection. Reports, journals, thesis, and other reading materials are also available. The infrastructure of the library is adequate and meets the requirements. The fully computerized library manages on software and gives access to the reading collection through the Online Public Access Catalogue.
E-library facility is also available with twenty PCs and other various other digital accessories. Users can access e-books, e-journals, databases, etc. using OPAC. The Wi-Fi facility provides internet access and users can use laptops in the library.
IIS University offers UG and PG courses. Admission to these program is based on merit in qualifying examination. Admission to the MBA course is based on the score of CAT/MAT or any National Management Entrance Exam that is followed by GD/PI. MCA admission is based on merit in qualifying examination. Candidates willing to take admission in Ph.D. have to appear in Research Entrance Test.
