Nirmala College for Women, Coimbatore was established in the year 1948 as a Private (Autonomous) Educational Institution, currently having 151-200 position in NIRF Ranking 2024. Nirmala College for Women Coimbatore is accredited by NAAC-A, and is affiliated with Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Nirmala College for Women offers admission in the field of Management, Humanities and Science at UG/ PG/ Doctorate level with scholarship benefits to deserving students. Rev. Dr. Sr. Mary Fabiola is the Principal.
Dedicated towards higher education for women, Nirmala College for Women was established on 1st July 1948. It was declared to be autonomous in the year 2007, and it is affiliated to Bharathiar University. The college has been accredited with the “A++” grade by NAAC.
In the year 2012, the college was recognised under the “Star College Scheme” of DBT, Government of India, through which six departments of science were added to the institution.

The college provides an extensive course structure with UG courses in subjects of Arts, Science & Commerce, and PG Courses in Arts & Science in the discipline of History & Mathematics respectively. Along with these certain certificate courses, M.Phil and Ph.D courses are also provided in various subjects such as, History, English, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Commerce, etc.
