In 1949 the department of commerce came into existence under the parent institute, and in 1972, this Commerce department became an independent institution named as St. Joseph’s College of Commerce. The institute prepares responsible citizens with leadership quality, moral, and religious values. The motto includes training that inculcates the values of humanity, consistency, tolerance, and excellence in every student.
St. Joseph’s College of Commerce is an autonomous institute that is recognized by UGC as “College of Potential for Excellence” in February 2010. It is accessed and re-accredited by NAAC as an ‘A’ grade college. Academia commits to generate, disseminate, and preserve knowledge. Shortlisted candidates, along with their parents, have to attend a personal interview. A candidate seeking admission in M.Com program should qualify SPGAT (Aptitude test) followed by an interview. Admission in Postgraduate diploma weekend program for working professionals or students is done directly by filling of the online form and document verification.
