Maharashtra State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology was established in the year 2003 as a Private Educational Institution. This college is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Also, this institute is recognised by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). MSIHMCT Pune offers a Bachelor and Master program in Hotel Management and Catering Technology. Along with this, the college also offers certificate courses in departments like Food Production, Food & Beverage Services, Rooms Division, and Housekeeping services.

*The reserved class category students belonging to Maharashtra State will get relaxation of 5% marks in their minimum required qualification. Hence, the least aggregate score required for the BHMCT and MHMCT programs will be 40% and 45% respectively.

Admission Process

To apply for BHMCT and MHMCT programs, candidates have to appear for the entrance test conducted by the Govt. of Maharashtra. Given below is the complete details of the online admission process:

• Students Registration for CET: Students have to visit the official website and register themselves using personal and educational details for the CET examination. Lastly submit the registration form by paying a registration fee through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / UPI, etc.
• Generation of hall ticket: After the registration process is over, students will receive a hall ticket containing their details, exam centre information, exam day guidelines, exam date and time, etc. Further, they must download the hall ticket using their registration no., and password.
• Appearing for entrance-exam: They will be required to visit the exam centre carrying documents like Hall Ticket, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, etc.
• Declaration of Result: The authorities will declare the result on a particular date. The result will be released on the official website of Maharashtra CET.
• Document Verification: Once a candidate has cleared the test, they have to visit the facility centre for the document verification process. The documents that are usually verified are Class 10 & 12 marksheet, Aadhar card, School leaving certificate, etc.
• Display of General Merit List: A provisional merit list will be published on the official website. This list will contain the name of candidates who can further fill out their choice for the counselling round.
• Allotment of institute: Based on the CET scores and the availability of seats at the institute, the students are allotted colleges.
• Reporting to the allotted institute: After the seats are allotted, candidates are required to report at the institute for the final admission procedure. This process includes payment of admission fees, and verification of documents. Once the fee is paid, their admission is finalised.
