ICFAI University Dehradun

ICFAI Dehradun was established in the year 2003. The university has received all the affiliations and is affiliated with the NCTE, UGC, NAAC, ACU and others. The university has four schools under its belt and they are ILS (ICFAI Law School), IBS (ICFAI Business School), ITS (ICFAI Tech School), and IEDS (ICFAI Education School).

The history of the university dates back in the year 1984 when the ICFAI (Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India) established the ICFAI as a college which finally became a university in the year 2003. ICFAI University, Dehradun offers many courses in baking, management, finance, law, insurance, accounting, IT, science, arts, commerce, and education both as distance learning and full through its campus too. The distance learning school of the university is equally famous as it is one of the best distance learning universities in India. Some of the prominent degrees that the university provides are BBA, B.Tech, B.Pharma, LLB, MCA, M.Tech, and others. The fees of the university are marginally lower than that of other private universities of the city.

ICFAI University admissions are based on entrance as well as merit scores. The university is strict when it comes to admissions as they don’t take any mug if they aren’t qualified. Below is mentioned details on some of the UG and PG ICFAI University courses admissions criteria:

PG Courses: For MBA, the students are selected on the marks that they avail in entrances such as CMAT/ MAT/ GATE/ CAT. Students can then apply through the portal by submitting the ICFAI University Dehradun online application form and submitting their scores alongside.

Once the applications are submitted, some internal assessments are done and other skills such as communications and all are checked through GD & PI rounds.

UG Courses: For most courses at ICFAI Dehradun, selections are based on 10+2 scores but for courses such as Law and Engineering, CLAT and JEE scores will be considered. For most courses a minimum of 55% in 12^th are mandatory and students can apply for admissions through the online portal.

Admission Process of the University

Online – For online procedure, students can apply through the online portal as one just has to fill the application form with the respective course that they want to choose.

Offline – Students can come at the university and meet the counsellors. Take the application form physically and submit it at the office. The applications will be assessed and if they are eligible admissions will be done upfront.

ICFAI University Scholarships are of two types and they are purely on merit. One is on past record of their academics while one is awarded to students who perform consistently or maintain a certain CGPA during the course of the academic program. Students should not have any backlog to continue their scholarship as any such mishap will lead to discontinuation of the scholarships.
