Kristu Jayanti College [KJC], Bangalore was established in the year 1999 as a Private (Autonomous) Educational Institution, currently having 60th position in NIRF Ranking 2024. KJC Bangalore is approved by AICTE and ACCA, accredited by NAAC-A++ and ACBSP, and is affiliated with Bengaluru North University, Kolar. "BODHI NIKETAN TRUST", founded Kristu Jayanti College in 1999. When the college started, it had just 3 course and they are B.Com, B.Sc. (CSMS), and BA (HEP). From there the college stocks grew multi-fold and today the college has over 8k students, and have added nearly 30 courses in UG, 16 in PG and PG Diploma courses numbers have raised to 3. In all, there are 4 research centres of the college and they are Management, Psychology, Commerce, and Bio-Technology. Till 2013, the college was under Bangalore North University but in 2013, it gained Autonomous status. The college received all the necessary grants from UGC, Bangalore University, and the Government of Karnataka.
Kristu Jayanti Bangalore has one mission and that it to provide fair and square education for all, so that they excel in future as they will always have the backing of academic excellence behind them. Creating civic responsibilities, fostering values, and making students competent are the other missions for which the institute is thriving upon. Skills: Without necessary skills, academic strength, and global competencies can’t be instilled in students. So, for a potential future of the students all the requisite skills are borne in students through various training programs.
Attitude: A correct attitude is required as the etiquette skills and the skills to negotiate are must in students. Only then they can respect their fellow mates and have a disciplined lifestyle.
Values: Students here are taught to not just make living but to enlighten the society. The society is changing but the values stay the same and therefore the academic here is value based that teaches students to maintain social integrity and have personality that can charm one and all.
Knowledge: Last but not the least to meet the global requirements, a complete knowledge is must. The college has always been in quest for excellence through their academics and therefore students here possess more knowledge than what their peers do.
The college is spread nearly 10 acres of lands and have recently started the hostel facilities too as students from all corners of the country has started showing interest in Kristu Jayanti.
Kristu Jayanti admissions primary criteria is their educational performance in 10+2 and qualifying exams. If these two criteria are full-filled then the students have to go through a screening process at the college as every Kristu Jayanti course have their own criteria. In short, the admissions are fully on merit and eligibility criteria too has to be fulfilled. For UG courses such as B.Com, BBA, and BA, students should have at least 40% marks in 12th from any recognised state board in the country. The same goes for the faculty of science and humanities. For PG programs such as PGDM, along with graduate degree the students should have appeared for national level entrances such as CAT/MAT, etc.
For admissions both the ways that are online and offline methods are available. Kristu Jayanti’s Law and PGDM are their most favoured programs. B.Com (Tourism) among the UG programs have seen the highest strength in recent times.
Kristu Jayanti Scholarships are three and they are JTS (Jayantian Talent Scholarship), JUS (Jayantian Upliftment Scholarship), and JDS (Jayantian Determination Scholarship).
JTS – JTS is awarded to students who excel not just in education but in co-curricular activities too. However, there are certain conditions or cap for this scholarship. Students have to maintain 85% attendance in each semester. They should score at least 60% aggregate in every semester. Students with trophies at university level are eligible for scholarships on that particular year. Each student eligible for this scholarship are awarded 10k INR.
JUS – Students coming from poor financial background are the ones who are eligible for this scholarship apart from students of reserved category. Here again the attendance criteria has to be fulfilled and students applying for this scholarship will have to provide their economic income duly signed by the civil authority of their respective area. The amount with which student will be rewarded is 10k INR.
JDS – This scholarship is purely for Divyangjan (Physically Disabled) students. The students will have to provide their disability certificate and every student under this category of scholarship will be awarded 20k INR.
Scholarship will be awarded only after its been duly audited and accounted by the authorised people of the institution.

The institute when incepted was quite small but the area has been expanded keeping in mind the increasing strength of the College. Cafeteria – Arguably it is one of the most popular hubs of the campus. The cafeteria of the campus is quite spacious and can accommodate even number of students. From refreshment to a variety of dishes the cafeteria serves them all at a price that is easy on pocket for the students.
Hostels – There are seven girls and four boys’ hostel that the College has for its students. The girls’ hostels are managed by the nuns and therefore some stringent rules are applicable. The girls hostel are named AVE Maria Hostel, St. Mary's Study House, Mary Matha Hostel, Navajyothi Study House, Pallotti Study House, Prajyothi Study House, and Holy Cross Institute.The four boys hostel of the institute are St. Aloysious, St. Pauls, St. Chavara, and St. Joseph's Boys Hostel.
Sports facilities – KJC gives a lot of importance to sports and therefore coaches for respective sports have been assigned. The institute has state-of-the-art sporting facilities for a considerate number of sports. Many national level sports person and state level sports person are a part of this prestigious college.
Auditorium – There are as many as 6 auditoriums at the Kristu Jayanti College campus. Most of them are small but the main auditorium named St. Kuriakose Elias Auditorium which is located in the PG Block of the campus is the largest of them all and hosts all the important events of the college.
