What the academics of VJIM did to me was, it enhanced my presentation and communication skills. These are the two good reasons for which I joined a B-School. The environment and atmosphere provided to us amazed me as along with classes, we were given a truck load of opportunities to enhance and explore our knowledge beyond books. In our country, we thrive for the right to education for all while VJIM believes in the right to quality education for all. The academics here were picture perfect because there was no leeway provided to us in lectures because we had to attend them all. Education through virtual platforms here was anyways, a new normal even before Covid. Many guest lectures of ours were conducted online as the College has tie-ups with ISB and others and we could attend those lectures online at VJIM campus. It all started with the orientation program. The program was quite interesting and informative as many managers and entrepreneurs were invited who shared their knowledge and experiences with us. During the first year, the subjects are common for all the students. A fair introduction to all the electives is given in the first year so that the students are well informed and can wisely choose their major as per their interest and demand in the market. I have opted for Human Resources as my major, before the start of 2nd year. The college also provides an opportunity for a 2-month internship, to get hands-on experience in the industry for the major we choose. The internship is mandatory and also carries a part of the total percentile as far as I remember. The course subjects were very well designed and covered all the major aspects that the industry required, during that period.Read Full Review
