Parul University

The Parul University (PU) Vadodara started operations in 2015. The University was earlier established as Parul Group of Institutes in 1993. It is a Private University that is approved by UGC & AICTE.

It is recognised by PCI, BCI, INC, National Medical Commission (NMC), Council of Architecture (COA), Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH), and Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). The Parul University is also recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Ministry of AYUSH, and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

The University is accredited by NAAC, NBA, National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), and the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH). The University has been ranked by NIRF in 2024 at the band of 101-150 under the ‘University’ Category & at the 47^th position in the ‘Pharmacy’ Category.

The Parul University Vadodara offers scholarships & financial aid to the meritorious & the needy students. Through these scholarships, the students can complete their higher studies without any financial burden & secure their future. The University offers scholarships under three categories i.e., cultural, sports, and defence scholarships; details of which are discussed in detail below:

Cultural Scholarship

This scholarship aims to encourage the students who have participated / secured prizes in various cultural activities like Dance, Music, Drama, Painting, and others at different levels. It is offered to the students as Tuition Fee Waiver; the details are as follows:

Sports Scholarship

Candidates who have participated / won medals at various levels of sports contests can avail scholarships based on their achievements under this category; the detailed information is given below:

• A+ Grade Category (First 3 Positions): Students who have acquired the First 3 Positions at any one of the following levels will be granted 100% scholarship on the Tuition Fee & Other Fees, and 100% scholarship on the Hostel & Food Fees, respectively:
  • Olympic Games / Paralympic Games
  • World Cups / Championships (4- year Cycle)
  • Asian Games / Para Asian Games (4-year Cycle)
  • Commonwealth Games / Commonwealth Games (Para Athletes) (4-year Cycle)
  • Asian Cups / Asian Championships (4-year Cycle)
  • World University Games (Every Two Years)
  • Commonwealth Championships (4- year Cycle) / World University Championship
    Additionally, those who have participated / won medals in the any one of the following events that is held in a 2-year Cycle / Held Annually are eligible for A+ Grade Category:
  • Asian Championships
  • Commonwealth Championships
  • World Cup / World Championship conducted by IPC
• A Grade Category: The scholarships under this category are awarded as per the criteria mentioned below:
  • Maka Games: Students who have won a Medal in the Khelo India University Games / All India Inter-University / Senior National Level will be offered 100% Scholarship on the Tuition Fee & Other Fees, and the Hostel & Food Fees each.
  • Non-Maka Games: 100% scholarship is offered to those who have won a Gold Medal, and 50% scholarship on the Tuition & Other Fees will be offered to those who have won a Silver / Bronze Medal in the Khelo India University Games / All India Inter-University / Senior National Level / Khelo India Youth Games. Additionally, 100% scholarship on the Hostel & Food Fees will be granted to such students.
• B+ Grade Category: The detailed information about the scholarships offered under this category is given below:
  • Maka Games: Candidates who have won first 3 positions in the West/South West Zone Inter-University Games / have participated in the Khelo India Youth National Games can avail a 100% scholarship on their Tuition Fee & Other Fee, and 50% scholarship on the Hostel & Food Fee, respectively.
  • Non-Maka Games: 50% scholarship benefit will be given to candidates who have attained first 3 positions in the West / South West Zone Inter-University Games OR have participated in the Khelo India Youth National Games.

• B Grade Category: Students who have secured first 3 positions in the Junior National / School Games Federation of India (SGFI) / at State Level will be awarded 50% scholarship on their Tuition & Other Fees.

* In addition to the above, students are also offered stipend, depending upon their sports scholarship category.

Defence Scholarship

The PU Vadodara offers scholarships under this category to encourage the Soldiers / Officers in the Defence Forces & their dependents. Services such as Indian Army, Indian Air force, Indian Navy, and the Indian Coast Guard have been included under this category.

Under this category, the following scholarships are offered to students who seek admission in Regular Courses only:

* The aforementioned scholarships are granted only during admission. Also, among all the above-stated scholarships, eligible students can avail only one scholarship benefit.
