GNIT Kolkata Placements activities help students in their overall development and enhance their desirable capabilities to enlighten them about particular industry standards. Training & Placement Cell arranges all the facilities for students so that they can grab good placement opportunities and enhances their competitive spirit. The Cell works on increasing the knowledge of students about the recruitment process along with creating awareness among organisations about the placement opportunities at the college.
The institute also organises career counselling scheme programs to assist students in understanding various professional opportunities and career options available to them. These career counselling programs are held from the 2nd to 4th year of the course. Major schemes included in this career counselling program are Technical Training, Pre-Placement Talks, Mock test sessions, and Mock interviews. Several counsellors and experts from inside and outside of the institute are invited to share their experiences as well as train students for future professional life.
