Scottish Church College Kolkata Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The college has a main building, which has been designated as the Grade 1 heritage building by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Besides it has a separate science building, Jubilee building, extension building, Teachers' Education building and Millennium building. The college has a huge Library and Information Centre, Research and Development Cell, Entrepreneurship Cell, Intellectual Property Rights Cell, Innovation Cell, and more. It has two canteens one in the Jubilee building, another in the Millennium building. It also has a well maintained garden, a gymnasium, Yoga room, seminar hall and auditorium. The college also has its own playground at Bagmari.

The college life is pretty good. It has several clubs like the Literary Society, Debating Society, Eastern and Western Music Club, Dance Clubs, Drama Club, Quiz Club, other clubs for Painting, Photography, Chess, Fashion, and more. The college observes the annual activity day where all the students can showcase their talents through various competitions. The campus is small but it is very aesthetic and clean. The campus is very green too. It is built in European style and it looks very pretty. The main building is very old since it is from the 1800’s and has been through many renovations, but it is very well maintained. There are another 3 buildings as well apart from the main building: Jubilee building, Millennium Building and a B.Ed building. We have easy access washrooms in all corners of the college. The common rooms for both male and females are chill out. A seminar hall and auditorium is also built. Not to forget, There is a massive hall right at the entrance.

The people in this college are very welcoming. At first I thought I wouldn't fit in but that turned out to be least of my worries. There are activity clubs like dance, music, literature, drama, nature, etc where I got to interact with many people. Sometimes there are jamming sessions in the Jubilee building and you'll never know that you're vibing with unknown people. Now coming to the infrastructure. It's a 195 year old college if not less. There are 3 buildings overall. The main building carrying the fame may look a little old but has the same strength from the beginning. The polished furniture, lifts and the rooms give you a comfort feeling like no other. The buildings have so many rooms that all the departments can hold their classes effectively. Also the attached canteen and bathrooms is top notch.

Our college does organize fests. It's called ‘Caledonia’ and it's the best thing you'll ever witness in your life Ever. Talking about the clubs, we have so many different clubs that take care of different hobbies of students such as Painting, Debate, Dance club, nature, film and so on. We organize the grand freshers and farewell parties which are a must include in our life.
