Marwadi University

Under Gujarat Private Universities Act 9 granted permission for Marwadi University to start their deemed university in 2016, which is located in the capital of Kathiyawad, Rajkot, Gujarat. The group was erstwhile known as Marwadi Education Foundation's Group of Institutions, or MEFGI. Mr. Ketan Marwadi is the president of Marwadi University and Mr. Jitubhai Chandarana is the vise president. Mr. Sandeep Marwadi, Mr. Nishit Chandarana, and Mr. Amish Chandarana are the honorable trustees of the University.

The Marwadi University courses are extensive as they offer courses in various domains from commerce, to science to pharmacy. They have 5 central departments: graduation, post-graduation, doctoral, JRF, and certification. The various courses offered through various departments of the university are Engineering, Pharmacy, LLM, BBA, MBA, to name a few. There are a total of 50+ courses offered by the University. The campus is spread across 32 acres of land, approximately 40 minutes away from the Rajkot railway station and approximately 30 minutes from Rajkot airport.

Marwadi University admissions in courses like engineering, MBA, MCA, and architectural courses are as per the centralized Marwadi University admissions procedures of the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Government of Gujarat and (GTU) Gujarat Technological University and Marwadi University, Rajkot (MU). The admissions to Marwadi University courses are transparent and purely based on merit and the entrance exam scores in which ever courses the criteria is an entrance exam. Around 15k students have already passed out from the university and may more of student beckons in near future.

Admission Process for ACPC:

For engineering, MBA, MCA, and architecture, all the first-year government seats will be allotted purely on a merit list created by ACPC, and the respective college or institution on the inter-se merit list will allot the management seats.

Eligibility criteria for admissions in Engineering and MBA/MCA:

According to the ACPC booklet, admission criteria for engineering are based on 12th grades and JEE Main/ GUJCET scores. For MBA and MCA CAT/ MAT/ CMAT, and other such scores are considered.

Overall Admission Process

Step 1: The Marwadi University application form is available online. It is to be filled on the website, available on the top navigation bar of "Apply Now." 

Step 2: Once the application is done, you will have to visit the campus for counseling and to resolve your queries. This will help in knowing more about the campus and the University.

Step 3: Submit your documentation for verification purposes, such as address proof, relevant mark sheets, ID proof, etc. 

Step 4: Post the document verification from the University. Admission fees are to be paid via NEFT or direct transfer into the bank account of MU.

The Marwadi University has made special arrangements with top banks of the country. Many government schemes which are passed on through banks for providing scholarships and loans to the students are available at the university desk. Students under the Bihar credit card scheme are eligible for the scholarship offered for MCA and MBA at Marwadi University, Rajkot.

The scholarship application is to be done online by registering and filling up the application/registration form available on www.application.marwadiuniversity.ac.in. Vidayalaksmi Yojna is a central sector scheme and students getting admitted to MU can avail education loans through this scheme at an interest rate lower than what the banks in general offers. Scholarships program here are fluent and as many as 5% strength of the university avail some or the other scholarships every year.
