Om Prakash Jogender Singh University is situated in Churu, Rajasthan. The university is built on 32 acres of land and was started in August 2013, it was established by Shri Jogender Singh, son of Shri Om Prakash, a renowned personality from Haryana state, who has followed in footsteps of his Late father Shri Sanwaliaram, both did a great work in the upliftment of education for deprived, downtrodden, and poor classes in India.
OPJS University Campus is well-known for its eco-friendly, lush green, and pollution-free environment, being surrounded by Aravali Hills the infrastructure of the university doesn’t affect the normal course of nature and tries to maintain the flora and fauna of the place in its best condition. Apply Online: To become a student of OPJS University, students have to apply online. Most of the courses take admission based on students’ previous qualifications or scores from national or state-level exams.
Entrance Exam: OPJS University conducts its entrance exam for the course of Law, Pharmacy, Agriculture, M.Phil, and PhD. To apply for the entrance exam for any of these, students have to apply online through the college website. The university’s commitments for PhD include its 24*7 assistance and genuine research work.
Documents: Once the students get approval mail from the university for their admission to respective courses, they have to go to the university for document verification. These documents include mark sheets, score cards of national/state-level exams, address proof, identity proof, and pay a registration fee, which can be paid online too.
OPJS University believes in diversity and no discrimination, therefore, there is no scholarship based on reservation. But the university offers scholarships based on the merit of students, the top 10 students with the highest scores in the university’s entrance exam, get a 50% relaxation of the college fee. The top 10 students who get the highest marks in the coursework exam will get an amount of 10,000 INR each.
Though the university hasn’t yet been notified of any scholarship for PhD or M.Phil students, students who have qualified NET or SET will get a 20% scholarship from OPJS University for doing their research.

The placement cell of OPJS University focuses on the holistic development of its students, it gives training and workshops for students to experience a practical & corporate atmosphere, where they can experiment and analyze their leadership skills. The students along with academic excellence are being exposed to a competitive environment and are taught according to social trends and changes. University also offers internship programs to students at the end of their courses.
Almost 80% of OPJS students get jobs from their placements at the university. Companies like HCL, Vodafone, Aditya Birla Group, Google, Bajaj Alliance, Deloitte, etc come to OPJS University as recruiters. The largest package so far has been around 8 lakh per annum and the average compensation package was around 4 lakhs per annum.

Library: The library at OPJS University is large, well-equipped, and run according to an open access system, which can be used and operated by researchers, students, and professors. The library at the university has a collection of over 1,33,600 books, journals, magazines, archives, etc. OPJS administration believes in walking parallel to the digital era and thus they provide all kinds of digital facilities at the university’s library.
Xerox facility, video-viewing facility, and computer facility are also available at the library, it is fully computerized. Other facilities at the university’s library are wi-fi, a 24*7 reading facility, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) facility, KOHA software (an open-source integrated library system (ILS)), and an automated & digital library.
Wi-Fi Campus: OPJS University provides full connectivity of wi-fi throughout the campus. With 100 MBPS broadband connectivity, the university assures that all the IT resources, research contents, and access to all online information are smooth. The entire campus, including the hostels and cafeteria, is Wi-Fi enabled. The university believes in both formal and informal education for its students and understands the need and demand of the internet in this digital era.
Additional to this, OPJS University has internet labs and computer centers also, where students can sit and carry on with their respective work.
Labs: The computer labs at OPJS University are fully equipped hi-tech labs which have over 500 PC nodes/laptops and servers like IBM, Intel, etc. The generation processors used in computers are the latest with video conferencing facilities, software & hardware according to specific academic programs, and the network is protected by a firewall.
The computer center of OPJS has eight labs in it and all the labs are completely equipped with audio-visual systems for live practical demonstrations and better learning. There is also an uninterrupted power supply at the OPJS campus which backs up the whole hi-tech computer lab structure.
Classrooms: At OPJS University there are modern classrooms, which are large and spacious and are equipped with advanced multi-media technologies and better teaching aids like LCDs, Projectors, Audio systems, etc. Each class is scientifically designed and has a display board.
Auditoriums: The University has two big auditoriums built in a traditional theatre and stage-type style. Each auditorium can accommodate an audience of around 700 people, all the big events, national or international, functions, conferences, and seminars are conducted in these auditoriums. They are air-conditioned, hi-tech with projectors and sound system, and have continuous internet connectivity.
OPJS University also has separate seminar and conference rooms, which are smaller than the auditoriums but equipped with the same facilities as auditoriums.
Hostel: The university has separate hostels for girls and boys with a total capacity of over 3000 students. The hostel has a single room with an attached bathroom, a separate mess, a warden quarter, and an administrative office for each hostel. The university provides 24*7 internet connectivity in hostels, a gymnasium, a medical center, sports & recreational activities, and even amenities for shopping.
Anti-ragging: Ragging is a punishable offense and if any student is found conducting any act of ragging, he/she will be punished according to the university’s or the UGC’s norms. For more serious offenses, students might be sent to the nearest police station also, but the presence of a guardian or parent is necessary, who must be of 35 or more years of age.
Cafeteria: The cafeteria at OPJS provides refreshments or food to students, faculties, hostelers, and staff. The cafeterias at the university are large and accommodate more students at once, they provide fresh & pure eatables, varieties in food, and are affordable to students. The quality of cafeteria food items is frequently monitored by the College Medical Resident officer or anyone who is in charge of cafeteria administration. There are three cafeterias at OPJS.
Sports: OPJS University has developed its identity in Boxing by winning at All India Inter University Championship. It has outdoor and indoor sports facilities, where students can play any sport like cricket, volleyball, chess, badminton, table tennis, etc. A modern gymnasium is also there for fitness enthusiasts, and students organize ‘Adventure Clubs’ for trekking, hiking, and climbing through the hills around the university’s building.
