Academic wise KSIT is phenomenal because the kind of system they have implemented is itself a differentiator. Nothing like school as attendance here is not compulsory. We were sent to workshops often as college doesn’t have its own workshops. The college has tie-ups with many companies and those companies workshops were our classrooms many times. Unlike other departments, where students can stretch on their benches in the classrooms, Machine designing students had to stay out and go bonkers on the field. KSIT falls under VTU, and therefore it doesn't matter whether you study at Ramaiah Institute of Technology or other colleges in Bangalore as they will have the same pattern and syllabus. Yes, the college is ranked a little lower, but the academics were outstanding. Students were free to attend the lectures they wanted and could continue studying independently and come to the classes only during doubt solving sessions. The practicals were taken by professors who had prior experience of working in IT companies. The computer lab was outstanding, and each student can enjoy their PC for doing their research and practicals. What more should I ask for, as KSIT gave us the liberty to study on our own, but at the same time, some mentors were there to support us.Read Full Review
