St. Joseph's College of Engineering and Technology Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Kottayam

Hostels are inside the campus and that was the only good things about the hostel. There are two boys and two girls' hostels inside the campus. The rooms were fine as at least they were clean even if small. The food part was such that onion and garlic will become your elixirs for life. Except water you will find them in each food item whether it is served in breakfast, lunch or dinner. Even the rasam and buttermilk will have some flavor of both. If you are a die-hard fan of onions and garlic, you will surely love the food but for those who aren’t had to sleep hungry on most occasions.Read Full Review

Inside the campus, there are four hostels. Two boy's hostels and two is girl's hostel. I don't know why but the college has played a partiality card here as the girl's hostel rooms and other facilities are much better than that of boy's hostel. I guess the fees are almost the same, but they get extra bonuses. The hostel was great as cleanliness at the hostels was maintained at all costs. You can keep your belongings in the lock, but the room's extra keys were with the hostel staff, and once we left for the college, the hostel rooms were cleaned daily. The mess was also quite good as the food quality was no less than home-cooked meal. I was never a fan of South Indian food but now have started loving it.Read Full Review
