Shivalik College of Engineering [SCE], Dehradun was established in the year 2008 as a Private Educational Institution. SCE Dehradun is approved by AICTE, and is affiliated with Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. Shivalik College of Engineering Dehradun came into existence in 2008 with a vision of global-level education. It is a non-profit organization with affiliation to Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. The college has been recognized by the reputed AICTE, and Ministry of education. The founder has a mission to support the local people by providing them with the necessary education and learning. The institute was in the top 3 engineering institutes in Uttarakhand by Times 2021 in the engineering section. The faculty is excellent and very dedicated to the overall growth of students. The college has an efficient education policy and offers a wide range of programs and degrees in the field of engineering, polytechnic, and pharmacy. The college offers engineering and polytechnic courses in CE, CSE, ME, and ECE.
It is believed to be the first college in north India which set up a robotics lab on the campus and it was done with the help of the premier institute IIT Mumbai. It also runs a value addition certification in collaboration with the same IIT. The college has an alliance with BMW the German giant in the world automobile sector.
Shivalik Engineering College Dehradun offers admission in a variety of courses and the admission committee at the campus deals with the entire process of admitting students. The college has different criteria for each course and they are listed below:
● B.Tech: The candidate should have passed his/her 12th class exams with 45% and should have studied at least one subject from PCM.
● Diploma in Engineering: The minimum requirement for this course is 50% marks in the 10th class in science along with Maths as a subject.
● B.Pharma: The candidate should have gotten 45% in the 12th class in PCM or PCB and also he/she should have studied English as a subject.
● B.Sc in Agriculture: 45% in 12th in any stream and English as one subject.
● BBA: 45% in 12th in any stream and English as one subject.

Shivalik College of Engineering Dehradun believes in giving financial security to hardworking and bright young students who are not able to pay their fees. The college offers a number of scholarships and financial aid to its students. A few of the scholarships are listed below:
● Unayan Scholarship: It is a merit-based scholarship given to the students for their excellent performance in their board exams. It is a one-time scholarship given to the students of all streams but the amount is different. For example, A CSE student who scored more than 90% in the 12th board exam will get 40K but students of other branches of B.Tech will receive 50K whereas BBA, B.Sc (agriculture), and B.Pharma students will get a sum of 30K. Under this scheme, students who have above 75% will also get some benefits.
● Udaan Scholarships: It is exclusively for females so that it can lessen the financial burden and it is also given to promote female education in the region. Under this, around 15500 INR is given to female students of the CSE branch and 24800 INR is for other branches of engineering.
● Veer Madho Singh Scholarship: There is a fee concession for the Uttarakhand residents and students under this scholarship.
● Rakshak Scholarship: To honor the army, police, paramilitary personnel, and corona warriors this scholarship is given to the wards of these categories. Under this 18600 INR is given to the B.Tech students and 15500 INR to CSE students. B.Pharma students get around 17500 INR and BBA students around 12000 INR.
● Other scholarships include the Karuna Scholarship for physically challenged students and financial aid to the students of the EWS category.
Submission of all valid certificates and records to the concerned dept to avail the scholarships and students who wish to continue the scholarships have to maintain 75% attendance in the year and 75% scores in the last exam they appeared.

Shivalik College of Engineering gives guaranteed placement help to the students based on their degrees and streams. The college has an excellent placement cell that helps in strengthening the analytical abilities of the students by giving them the required training. The cell has taken many initiatives like career development services, guest lectures, seminars, counseling and others to strengthen the qualities of its students. The highest package that was ever received is 30 LPA by alumni of Shivalik who got an offer from Google.
The placement statistics of the year 2020-2021 tell that around 132 placement offers were given and around 65+ companies came for the campus placement. The highest salary package offered was 8 lacs per annum. The top companies that came to the campus of Shivalik are Accenture, BYJU’s, Cipla, IBM, Ola, Hitachi, HCL, Dr. Reddy’s, and Bajaj.
