The MIT Institute of Design began its journey with the first batch of students in the academic year 2006-07. The college offers courses for students aspiring to study Design at undergraduate or postgraduate level. It is a private educational institute in Pune, approved by AICTE. MITID Pune has some of the best faculties in various branches of fashion and design. The institute nurtures the skill and knowledge of new students coming every year to create leaders of the future in various sectors of fashion and design. There are 1300+ creative minds on campus and 1000+ alumnus who have made the learning programs more dynamic over the decades.
Vision: The institute’s vision is to develop design technologies that are sustainable and user-oriented. The college intends to nurture visionary design professionals who understand next-generation technologies and are equipped to lead successful ventures in the relevant industries.

The MIT Institute of Design offers diploma, graduate, post graduate courses and even Ph.D. These courses are all full-time. Admission Process:
In case of vacant seats in any discipline, those will be transferred to other disciplines with candidates on the waiting list.
NRI, Foreign students, PIO, OCI admission will be 10% over and above of regular candidate intake.
In order to help promising but economically weaker students enrol in their dream courses, the MIT Institute of Design offers scholarships to 5% of total students every year. The scholarship can be a full or partial amount. The eligibility for the scholarship depends entirely on the student’s performance and their financial position.
The interview panel determines if the student is eligible for the scholarship. Once the student gains admission, they have to avail the scholarship form from the office. The form should be filled, signed and submitted along with all relevant documents of income statements of the family members.
The placement opportunities through campus at MITID Pune is rather lucrative. The final year students can only participate. The placement procedure is straightforward and transparent at MIT Institute of Design. Companies share their requirements and willingness to conduct recruitment drive through the registration form available on the website. The college then puts up the notice about the company’s requirements and interested students can apply. Over the next 2-3 days, the list of interested candidates and their portfolios are shared with the companies. The further recruitment drive is determined by the company and can be conducted through offline, or online means.
