Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences [RAJUVAS], Bikaner established in 2010 is a State University. RAJUVAS Bikaner is approved by ICAR and UGC. The foundation of Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences was laid down in 2010 with the aim of imparting education related to the concerned subjects in Rajasthan. It is approved by the UGC to function as a State University. It is also recognised by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) and Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
The vision of RAJUVAS Bikaner is to provide talented human resources, create advanced technologies, and impart knowledge in the field of veterinary and animal sciences. The university offers B.V.Sc & A.H, M.V.Sc, and Ph.D programs.
Admissions in B.V.Sc & AH Degree programs offered by the university are done based on the merit of NEET UG Examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Admissions in the M.V.Sc program are done based on the merit of ICAR AIEEA (PG) Examination conducted by the NTA.

The University offers Merit Scholarships to the students of M.V.Sc and Ph.D programs based on their academic performance while pursuing these courses. The Central and State Government also offers multiple Scholarship Schemes to the deserving students on the basis of different criteria.
