Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute Fee Structure
In 1955, a group of four esteemed doctors started Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute. Dr. Ramaswamy, Dr. Mekhri, Dr. Shivaram, and Dr. Narayana Rao were the ones who planned out this institution. In 1957, this private college was handed to the Government of Mysore, and after some time it was handed over to the Bangalore University. In 1996, the medical college was affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
The institution has an association with different hospitals, namely Vani Vilas Women and Children’s Hospital, Victoria hospital, Minto Hospital, Bowring & Lady Curzon Hospital. It is dedicatedly involved to provide community health services. Edu fever rated it 4.1 out of 5 among the best medical colleges in Karnataka. India Today had ranked it 13th among the other medical colleges across the country. The Week has ranked it 10th among the medical institution of India. Its ranking in India has been increasing among rest of the B-schools in India.
The college has MCI recognition for 135 postgraduate degree, 71 Diploma seats (MD Skin & V.D, MD Radio Therapy, MD Psychiatry, MD OBG, MD Gen. Surgery, MD Radio Diagnosis, MD Paediatrics, MD Anesthesiology, MS ENT, MD Gen. Medicine, MS Ophthalmology, MS Orthopedics, MD Microbiology, MD Pathology, MD Forensic Medicine, MS Anatomy, MD P & SM, MD Physiology, MD Biochemistry, MD Pharmacology), 150+100 undergraduate seats are filled under 10A of MCI rules. M.Ch Urology, M.Ch Paediatric Surgery, M.Ch Plastic Surgery are super specialty seats recognize by MCI. M.Ch Surgical Gastroenterology, DM Neurology is admitted according to 10A MCI rules. The institute also offers fellowship program in Surgical Gastroenterology, Vitreo Retina, Paediatric Anaesthesiology, Paediatric Dermatology and Eye diseases, Cosmetic Dermatology, Accident Trauma & Emergency Care, Neurology, Community Ophthalmology and Dermatol Surgery with two seats in each program.

For admission in MBBS, the candidate must have completed 12th standard or 2nd PUC and has to write the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. For postgraduate course, All India Entrance Exam fills 50% seats on merit basis and the rest 50% by State Entrance examination.
Admission procedure to super specialty programs and diploma is through the postgraduate entrance. Admission to fellowship program is on the basis of walk-in interview and screening. For nursing courses, the candidate has to pass the RGUHS examination. Admission in Paramedical course is through state-level counseling.
