Atria Institute of Technology Bangalore has actually made a name in the field of engineering by making competent professionals. AIT came into existence in the year 2000 and was set up as a private institute to impart higher education. The institute is accredited by NAAC, approved by the prestigious AICTE New Delhi, and affiliated with VTU Karnataka. The undergraduate programs at this institute are also approved and accredited by the NBA. Students at the institute are well guided by highly experienced teachers and professors who guide students so that they can learn, research, and become competent engineers.
The institute offers rich programs in computer science, information science, electronics, and communication engineering. The mechanical engineering course of the institute is distinctly designed as the student gets certification in AI from Intel during this course. The course is taught along with the Level A1 to B2 German language course and a postgraduate internship is offered to students in Germany. The institute gives specific industry training during the courses to develop their skills. The demand for IT leaders has been increasing and that’s when the 2 years degree of MCA comes in handy. AIT has departments of MBA, MCA, and Basic science engineering and humanities. MCA courses are offered in the field of AI, Data sciences, and software engineering whereas MBA is in Finance, HR, and marketing. It has the provision of B.Sc honors degree in allied sciences of 3 and 4 years.
AIT Bangalore takes admissions in many fields from science to humanities. To take admission in the BE stream students have to appear in CET/COMED. CET is a Common entrance exam and COMED is a consortium of medical, engineering and dental exams held by Karnataka authorities. These exams can be given by Karnataka students or students who are from other states. Every year the CET exam is taken in April and students can appear for COMED in May. There are also 25% seats in the colleges and they are filled based on the management quota. These seats are filled after checking the merit and based on counseling done by the college, only a deserving lot of students get to take admission through this quota.
To take admission in the M.Tech courses at the institute the candidates have to appear in the Post Graduate entrance exam conducted by the Karnataka Govt. authorities. More than 80% of students are given admission based on the scores of the PGCET exam. The GATE-qualified students can go to the admission departments. Like BE intake, Masters' Students also get admission through the management quota, and around 20% of students every year from all around the country on the basis of merit get admission through this quota. MBA & MCA students have to follow this same process at the college. Students with valid scores in KMAT/ CMAT are told to go to the admission office to know the process. They don’t have to appear in the PG entrance test as they have already qualified for other entrance tests.
AIT Bangalore has scholarships option for students who deserve it, Sri KR memorial award is given to students who belong to either CS or ECE stream. The scholarship is given to the best outgoing student belonging to these two streams of engineering. A cash prize, the certificate is given to the students after announcing the result.
Talking about the merit scholarships 100%, 50%, and around 25 % fee concession is for the top three students from each stream. One of the scholarships that AIT offers is the Young Scholars program. For this scholarship, the bright students from the 12th class are selected through a contest every year in December. Under this scholarship students who have joined this institute are already selected if they have gotten admission through either KCET or COMED exam.

● Counseling services: The young generation goes through many things every day from career to personal life and it is necessary to seek guidance when confused. For this purpose, the institute has assigned faculty counselors who deal with the students to provide them with emotional guidance. They give short and long term guidance based on the needs of students.
● Accommodation Facilities: The campus has dedicated and well-established hostels for boys and girls. The rooms have bunk bed facilities and also a separate room with attached bathroom facility options is open for the students. There is a spacious hall, dining hall, and water facility for the students. The specified time is there for outings and during college study hours students cannot stay in the hostel rooms until necessary. A cloakroom facility is also available for students.
● Club Activities: To build a professional network among students there are many club and art activities held in the college. The college has a cultural club, entrepreneurial club, photography club, Quiz club, Debate club, and theatre club. For Post-Graduation Course, candidates desirous of taking admission should have cleared PGCET and have been a resident of Karnataka for 7 or more years after passing Common Entrance Test (PGCET) that KEA organizes.For taking admission through management quota, one should have a valid score in Graduate Test for Engineering (GATE).

The library is the most resourceful centers that have the collection of more than 2000 volumes of books. With the passing of years, the library has created a collection of over 26,000 books along with Project Reports, CD’s, DVDs and bound volumes other than latest periodicals. To promote e-learning techniques, the digital information resource center is instilled in the library that allows students and faculty to access, download, and share the information collected from the e-resource portal.
