Asansol Engineering College has hostels for both boys and girls.  There are three hostels for male students, namely Vivekananda Hall, AJC Boys’ Hostel, and APJ Abdul Kalam Hall and there are two hostels buildings (old and new) for female students, namely Sarojini’s Girls’ Hostel. Asansol Engineering College hostel rooms have a double-sharing capacity and are ventilated properly in both male and female hostels.

• The Vivekananda Hall is a residential area for 1^st Year male students and is a 4-storeyed building.
• 2^nd and 3^rd Year male students reside in the AJC Boys’ Hostel.
• 4^th-year male students reside in the APJ Abdul Kalam Hall.
• 1^st-year female students reside in the new building of Sarojini Girls’ Hostel.
• 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th Year female students reside in the old building of Sarojini Girls’ Hostel.
