Bachelor of Dental Surgery is a full-five year course where four years are academic, and one year is for internship purpose. Any candidate is eligible to apply who has passed 10+2 with an aggregate of total 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as one of the languages. A relaxation of 10% is given to SC/STs.
Master of Dental Surgery is a three year PG program where BDS Degree from a DCI and RGUHS recognized Institute is mandatory to enter into the same.
It offers specialization in several different fields which include Conservative Dentistry and Endodontic, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Radiology, Oral Pathology and Microbiology, Department of Periodontics, Prosthodontics Crown and Bridge, Public Health Dentistry, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Department of pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, and Department of Basic and Medical Science.
This is a doctorate program which intakes master degree holder (MDS) with addition to qualifying the entrance test as prescribed by the university, along with other exams such as UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET/SLET/GATE/M.Phil. Only candidates, who score minimum 50% marks in the Ph.D. entrance exams, are eligible to get through.
