Our university is a tier 1 state public university with NIRF 2024 rank 12th in Engineering Category. Placement is very good (up to 100%) in some departments like Civil, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, etc. Overall placement was 95% last year. One of the best institutes in the country and beats IITs due to its low fee structure (around 9.6k for 4 years). Overall, it is very safe for girls.Read Full Review

The overall experience of the university is superb. I'll describe each aspect in the later section but here let me give an outline of my experience. Jadavpur University offers the best ROI in India, the fees is just 2400 and getting an average placement of 10 LPA (20 LPA for CSE). There's no 75% attendance policy, 45-50% is enough. The campus is lush and green. The professors and all staffs are very good. Faculties have at least one foreign university degree. It has good libraries, labs, and above all good environment with good friends. Few things like the buildings which are quite old, though they go through renovation but still look old. JU is one of the premier Universities in India. It has the lowest 4 years of B.E fees i.e. 10k/-. It has a great alumni network, no compulsory attendance policy, a beautiful campus life, and a decent gender ratio, which is better than IIT’s. On the other hand, it has some drawbacks too that involves average infrastructure, corruption in Ph.D admission, and antinational active organizations that often degrade the image of the University.Read Full Review
