We do have a well trained Placement Cell. The average package is 6.75 LPA for Arts & Science background and for Engineering, the average package is 9 LPA and median package is 7 LPA. The placement of JU is what I want to discuss, in one word I can say it's worth it. After paying 9600 for 4 years and getting a 20 LPA is really worth it. Companies often visit our campus for internships and placements. Almost everyone got placed. Jadavpur holds 100% placement records even for lower branches. In CSE we have 97% placements, rest have opted for higher studies. Google have offered 57LPA, Samsung 44LPA & 40LPA, Microsoft 45LPA, and Wells Fargo 27LPA are few CTC offered to students. Except tech, consultancy, banks and even quant companies visit for placements. Majorly students sit for placements but a few opt for higher studies in Harvard, Stanford which reflects their academic excellence.Read Full Review

Our University also has a placement cell. The placements have been excellent and increasing year after year. The average package for Electrical Engineering department is around 9-10 LPA with the major recruiters been CESC, Texas Instruments, Bechtel, Oracle, etc. The placements for other departments are also impressive.
