    Jadavpur University : My Views on academics and other facilities
    The Academics is one thing where JU is ahead of many colleges & universities. Students getting into JU are meritorious so they all perform well in the academics. I have more knowledge of CSE students so I'll focus on them. The average CGPA of CSE people is very good like 8-8.5 always. In this program CSE offers a good and well designed curriculum, though it’s old and traditional but that's what IITs & NITs teach. Course basically helps us to learn and is useful for higher studies and researches but for placement we need to prepare separately. If the placement preparation is somewhat added to the course it would have been better.Read Full Review

    Jadavpur University: Fulfill your Dreams
    There are 3 different streams, Science, Arts and Engineering & Technology. The admission for Engineering & Technology is done through the WBJEE exam. I am from Electrical Engineering Department. In the first year, all departments have same curriculum. so, it is easy. However, from the second year, each department has its own syllabus pertaining to that particular field. The academics are a bit tough with high workload, but it is manageable. More importantly, the subjects taught are industry relevant and there is industry exposure too. The labs here are also very good with all required instruments for the experiments. There are also scholarships available for financially weak students which help them to pursue their studies.Read Full Review
