Army Institute of Law Fees Structure & Courses 2025, Mohali

With 'Aspire and Achieve' as its motto, the institute strives for brilliance in academics and research pursuits. Currently the Institute offers BA LLB, a five year integrated course and LLM. The seat distribution for the institute is that there are 71 seats for wards of army personnel, 01 seat for ward of Indian Navy Personnel, 03 seats for wards of Indian Air Force Personnel and 05 seats for the candidates of All India General Category through an Online Law Entrance Test (LET) conducted by the institute at designated test centers. LET is online counseling of the students selected based on merit of the entrance exam. The test comprises of 4 sections: Mental Ability, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Law Aptitude, and General English to be attempted in 2 hours. The remaining 20 seats are for the Punjab Resident Civil Category. Their admission is done on 10+2 merit basis and is also done through a centralized online counseling. The admission is this category requires the candidate's Punjab Domicile. The frequency of the exam is such that per semester the institute conducts mid semesters and internal assessment for each subject followed by the end semester exam which is conducted by the Punjabi University, Patiala. The fee structure varies for the wards of army personnel and that of civil category. The institute one-time charges inclusive of refundable security, alumni, and Convocation are Rs. 46,910 and Rs. 52,160 respectively. At AIL only two courses are offered B.A.L.L.B and L.L.M of 5 years and 1 year respectively. For getting admissions here you have to apply for AIL LET which is conducted by AIL itself which is of 200 marks and somewhere around 130. You can expect to get admission here. Also here are 100 seats of which 75 to Army category, 25 for Punjab category and 5 for Civil category. For Punjab category admissions are done through the percent of 12th grade. Generally it ranges between 97-99 percent, and for civil category you have to score somewhere around 150.

Fees for B.A.LL.B is total of Rs. 3,00,168/- and for other category i.e. Punjab and civil category it is Rs. 3,52,492/-. If we talk about fees distribution then one time charge is around 47,000/- and college annual charges include tuition fee i.e. Rs. 1,36,826/- and for hostel charges it's Rs. 1,16,882/- in which Rs.14,000/- is refundable.
