EDII’s PGDM-BE program is a fulltime course of two-year duration, and approved by AICTE and AIU. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited the course which received the USASBE’s ‘Outstanding Entrepreneurship Program Abroad Award’ in 2014. This postgraduate diploma program is ideal for individuals who’re planning to set up their own business venture.
It doesn’t matter whether the setup is product or service oriented, involving a groundbreaking technology, agronomy, creative media, electronics or any other commercial segment. Even someone who’s seriously mulling joining a family business or looking for temporary employment to gain experience (before setting up his or her business) can apply for the program. Each and every student who pursues the PGDM-BE course receive instructions which in turn helps them to fine their entrepreneurial bent of mind.
The students develop the skill set and the expertise to develop their business strategy and plan, thanks to persistent and relentless mentoring. Eventually, they find the platform from where they can canvass their business model to banks, financial institutions, and angel investors. The idea is to convince the investor (individual or institution) to realize the feasibility of the plan and sanction funds for the same.
The entire curriculum of the program is spread across 6 trimesters where each trimester is of three months. The main courses taught during the 2-year duration include entrepreneur interactions and learning, business communication, entrepreneurial career and aspirations, universal human values, business taxation, and so on. At the same time, students have to complete projects and a summer internship to gain practical experience.
EDII’s placement cell helps students land internship contracts in a small and/or medium enterprise in line with their preferred business segment. Managers, specialists, and executives who have excelled in their respective professional areas receive invitation to visit the EDII campus and address the students. The institute also conducts guided industrial tour every trimester where students visit various companies to gain an understanding on how a business functions from one day to the other.
The PGDM-DS course is another fulltime postgraduate management program with a 2-year schedule. The course curriculum completed in six trimesters, has been designed to hone the managerial skills of the budding entrepreneur who wants his or her enterprise to stay viable in the future. This program suits those who’re planning to build and cement their career in the social and economic development arenas.
Individuals looking to excel as a researcher, administrator, activist, change agent or policymaker can opt for the PGDM-DS program. The pedagogy of the program is learner-centric as it revolves around field visits, films, and literature backed by original research, project development, lectures, and case studies. All students who complete this program can look to work in social development organizations at the global, national, and state levels.

The FPM program is a research-oriented course whose syllabus has been designed to transform young entrepreneurial talent into sagacious leaders and scholars. The 4-year fulltime program is intended to create skilled researchers, business consultants, and educators who’ll meet the demand for faculty capable of educating students on entrepreneurship. A candidate with a first class master’s degree in arts, commerce, pure science, biological science, social science, economics, management, technology or engineering can apply to this program.
A student, after completing this course will be able to chart his or her career as an educator, business consultant, policymaker or researcher in a university, multinational corporation or governmental department.
