IIT (ISM) Dhanbad Reviews on Placement, Faculty, Hostel by Students

Overall experience in the institute is nicer than expected. There are so many different activities and mainly every student can pursue their own passion here in this institute. Those passions, which they weren’t able to pursue due to some issues. I chose IIT Dhanbad because of the placement statistics. I have experienced a good atmosphere at this university, which helps me to have self-confidence. I opted for this institute as it is in the middle of the town unlike other institutions, which were quite in the outskirts of cities. It also has great facilities like any other IIT and so helps in boosting one's career. It is quite famous and old. Our institute is one of the oldest institutes with an NIRF rank of 15th in engineering category. It recently was labeled as IIT. The existing institute campus area is about 218 acres consisting of 15 hostels occupied by students enrolled in various courses (Ph.D, B.Tech, M. Tech, etc). Also, there is a Student Activity Centre (SAC) which allows students interested in sports / acting / singing / dancing / swimming to engage themselves in their hobbies. The library of our institute is ranked at 2nd position as Asia’s largest techno-library. There are also a lot of canteens in the campus so that students can take a breather from mundane routine of eating in mess every day.Read Full Review
