Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University, commonly known as UPRTOU was established in the year 1999. The institute is named after Rajarshi Purusottam Das Tandon Ji. The institute is NAAC accredited and also approved by the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh and the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers UG, PG, and Doctoral level programs in the Schools of Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Education, Management Studies, Health Sciences, Computer and Information Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, and Vocational Studies. Along with these, the university also offers certificate courses for a duration of 1 or 2 years in the same departments.
