HL College of Commerce (also known as Hargovandas Lakhmichand College of Commerce) [HLCC], Ahmedabad was established in the year 1936 as a Public Educational Institution. HLCC Ahmedabad is accredited by NAAC, and is affiliated with Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. HL College of Commerce offers admission in the field of Commerce at UG/ PG level with scholarship benefits to deserving students. Dr. Mona S Kelshikar is the Principal.
Hargovandas Lakhmichand College of Commerce which in short is also called, ‘HL College of Commerce’ and ‘HLCC Ahmedabad’ came into existence in the year 1936 by the efforts of the Ahmedabad Education Society. The College is the first institute established by the society. It is working under the association of Gujarat University and has got NAAC accreditation.
Vision: The colleges’ vision is to be among the top 30 Commerce colleges in India by 2025 by providing environment which supports holistic development of the students to make them model citizens of India.
Mission: It strives hard to achieve its mission to broaden the knowledge perspectives of its students, so that they can contribute to the monetary and literary empowerment of the nation.
The College enrolls students for two courses: B.Com and M.Com. Students are provided lectures in English and Gujarati Language.
The College follows a cenrtralised admission process to admit students in both the programs. It follows the reservation policy guidelines of the Government of Gujarat and the affiliating university. Candidates who passed 12th class from CBSE Board or a board other than Gujarat Board must obtain the eligibility certificate from the Gujarat University.

The Placement Cell of the college is called ‘Udisha’. The Cell bridges the gap between the corporate world and academics.
