Yes, AIT Kanpur provides a hostel for students to live inside the institute. In my institute, there two hostels, one for girl and other for boys. Hostels have good environment. Since the college is new and kept a lot of expectations therefore they built 2 hostels inside the college campus. Two three storey building as one is boy’s hostel and one is girl’s hostel. Since, I am a local I haven’t used hostel services but the building is nice and the outsiders who stay in the hostel have always praised the AIT’s hostel. There are in all 30 rooms in the boy’s hostel and all on twin sharing basis. The mess is inside the hostel building and the food provided is also great. The girl’s hostel too is similar as they have a common area and a games room.

The hostel fee though is slightly higher with INR 62,000 a year. I felt its a little high as the rooms don’t have air conditioners and just fans. There are two separate beds and 2 separate cupboards in the room. A small attach bathroom and is good enough for students. I have visited the hostel building once in my 1st year and I liked it. The hostel timings are strict as girls hostel gate closes at 9pm and boys hostel gate at 10pm.Read Full Review
